Mystique Moksha Yoga Classes

Our classes are designed to meet the needs of all of our students. Whilst some classes like the Gentle Yoga as well as Restorative Yin or Restorative Yoga are geared to deeply relax both muscles, connective tissue and the nervous system, other classes like Yoga tor all levels, Hatha, Vinyasa and Flow classes are more geared to stimulate circulation, strength and energy. The Yoga Foundation class is somewhere in between, able to both stimulate and relax and is particularly useful for students new to yoga.

Yoga Foundation

Yoga is a wonderfully holistic approach to connecting with better physical and mental health through targeted focus, movement and breath training.

Yoga Foundation is the perfect class for people brand new to yoga as well as those seeking a gentler more educational yoga class. The student will be introduced to the basics of what yoga is and its usefulness in daily life, it will touch on life philosophies, breathing techniques that allow for energy and mood regulation, body postures that stretch and strengthen to create a sense of flexibility and stamina as well as a relaxation technique that enhance everyday resilience. The foundation learning in this class will assist the students in progressing to other yoga classes offered in the studio.

The Purpose of Yoga Foundation are:
  • To focus on the alignment of your body
  • To become aware of your body’s specific needs and abilities
  • To recognize and learn the specific details of each asana
  • To emphasize and build on the strength and flexibility of your body

Restorative Yin Yoga

This class is designed to deeply relax the whole person, muscles, mind and nervous system.

Enter a state of meditative bliss through the use of supportive props, slow transitions, and long holds. There is an emphasis on ease and comfort yet also on experiencing deep stretches resulting from “letting go”. The style is gentle and suitable for all levels and particularly helpful with stress and tension release. The word “restorative” indicates that the body will have an opportunity to self-heal and re-energize from this practice.

The class is suitable for all students especially those seeking deep relaxation, deep stretches, recovery, and restoration.

Slow flow Yoga

This class is moving through an initially static and increasingly fluid sequence of gentle movements helping with joint freedom, pain reduction, stress release and general wellbeing.

You will find this class suitable for all students especially those who seek a more dynamic practice.

Gentle Shanti - Peace Yoga

With a combination of flowing movements, breath focus, deep restorative stretches, and meditation this class is accessible to any student with any issue.

The class is suited for all students especially those requiring downtime, recovery, healing and much needed me time. Shanti is the Chill-Pill class without any nasty side effects.

Hatha Yoga Beginner

Hatha (Translates to Sun-Moon). It teaches us about the duality that exists in life and through its classical teachings of Yoga Philosophy, body postures, and sequences, breathing techniques and meditation. It is the most classical class taught at the studio, sticking to traditional teachings in a safe and accessible way.

Flexibility, strength, and relaxation are welcome side effects of this class. This class is not only suitable for all students wishing to learn yoga but also to those who wish to deepen their knowledge about all aspects of yoga.

This class combines the strength and focus of Hatha yoga and integrates a lot of mindful movements through vinyasa. The class is taught with different bodies and abilities in mind which makes it safe and accessible for everyone. Students will enjoy the variation of gentle challenge and relaxation packaged neatly into one hour.

This class is well suited for the student that has tried a few classes before and is familiar with some of the basics of yoga however with open communication with the teacher before class you’ll find that they will gladly incorporate your needs into the class and make it accessible to the students that are in the class on that day.

Asana, Pranayama and Meditation

Asana, pranayama and meditation are three of the eight limbs of yoga. In a sequenced and full practice, all three (Asana, Pranayama and meditation) simply and intricately weave together, nourishing and supporting the subsequent limb without a gap, creating a unique tapestry of yoga. Each is the foundation for, and advances to, the beginning stage of the next step. This class will take you on a journey to the secrets and treasures stored within the body, mind and heart, one step at a time through asana, pranayama and meditation.

Parent and Child Class

Practicing yoga together, playing yogic games for improving memory, reflex actions and coordination with a fun element. Also sharing interesting informative stories to inculcate courage and understanding to handle the challenges of life. Our Parent-child yoga class gives the opportunity to strengthen their bond and empathise each other.

Pranayama and Meditation

Prana means life force (noted particularly as the energy), and Yama can be translated as to restrain or control the prana, implying a set of breathing techniques where the breath is intentionally altered in order to produce specific results.

Pranayama brings balance in a sympathetic and parasympathetic system of our body and influences the flow of prana in the Nadis (energy channels) of the Pranamaya Kosha (energy body).

Many people tend to think meditation is the same as Yoga. The truth is, meditation is a part of yoga which deals with mental relaxation and concentration. Here, attention is focused on thoughts and breath. Being aware of breathing automatically controls the thought process and thus relaxes mind completely.

Relaxation resulting from the slowing down the breath is the key. The regular practice evokes latent capabilities and clarity of thought.

Mystique Moksha Pranayama and Meditation session is aimed to reduce stress, increase self-awareness and improves concentration.

Yoga for Seniors

Age brings its own set of challenges for everyone. It is important for our senior citizens to maintain strength and flexibility without too much pressure on the body. The Mystique Moksha Yoga package for Seniors includes many exercises aimed at the loosening of joints and chair yoga practices. In addition, alternate nostril Pranayama energises the body and deep relaxation techniques rejuvenate the body and mind.
